देखें कि हॉस में भारतीय सेना के जवानों को सीमा पर कठिन इलाकों की रक्षा के लिए एडवांस्ड पर्वत युद्ध तकनीकों के लिए कैसे प्रशिक्षित करती है। एडवांस्ड कोर्स 13,000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर आयोजित किया जाता है, जहां सैनिक हाइ आल्टिट्यूड युद्ध के मैदानों में सफल होने के लिए युद्ध कौशल सीखेंगे। भारतीय सैनिकों को विशेषज्ञ पर्वत योद्धा बनने के लिए कठोर मानसिक और शारीरिक कंडीशनिंग से गुज़रना पड़ता है। हिमालय के बर्फ से भरे क्षेत्र में भारतीय सीमा के दुर्गम इलाकों की रक्षा के लिए उन्हें अत्यधिक ऊंचाई और ग्लेशियर जैसे कम तापमान वाले क्षेत्र में ट्रैनिंग लेनी होती है।

After 7 weeks of basic training in mountain warfare, select soldiers are ready to undergo 4 weeks of advanced training at High Altitude Warfare School. The advanced course is conducted at dizzying heights of 13,000 feet where soldiers will learn survival & combat skills to succeed in extreme-altitude battlegrounds.

Some of the highest battlefields like Siachen can be unforgiving even for the toughest soldiers; where low oxygen level and sub-zero temperatures make it one of the most hostile places to live in, let alone fight. At HAWS Gulmarg which is situated close to 9,000 feet above sea level, Indian Army men train to survive and fight in the world’s highest battleground at 20,000 feet.
