In choosing the 8 best mattresses for 2024 we looked at the totality of all of our tests, scores, data, and reviews to date. We analyzed this data alongside our established best mattress framework here. The “best mattress” for each type is simply the top-scoring mattress for that respective category based on our data-driven scores.

We made the choice to organize this “best of” list by popular mattress types (ex. hybrid, latex, memory foam, etc.).

We thought this approach would be better, as it provides the absolute best option by type, allowing sleepers with different preferences to find the type and feel that works best for them.
