When local adventurers ‘Steve’ & ‘Alex’ discover the dark realm of The Nether, ‘King Porkshire’ and his Piglin army, who were banished to this land of flames many moons ago, begin invading the surface and wreaking havoc upon its once peaceful world. With this looming threat growing stronger, Steve and Alex must embark on a noble quest to defeat the Piglin army and save their home!

- Addressing ‘A Minecraft Movie’ & Why THIS Video Exists -

From the release of this video, it should be obvious how I feel about ‘A Minecraft Movie’. It looks dreadful. The presentation, the uncanny models and animation, the choice of blending real people in the unreal Minecraft world, the generic and predictable tone, everything down to the kitchen sink. If we were told ten years ago that the wonderful and fantastical Minecraft movie we’ve been waiting so long for would end up being what Warner Brothers has given us, we would all have collectively been as astronomically disappointed then as we are now. This is more than just a kids franchise, it’s something anyone of any age can think of and remember so many fond memories. It’s why most of us still play Minecraft with our friends, families, and other loved ones to this very day! Its escapism and wonder has united a large community of people that never would have even though about coming together in their lives if not for Minecraft, and this movie looks like it embodies NONE of that love and dedication in the slightest.

This video was a take on what the community deserved to have, by using existing and beautifully animated Minecraft promotional material, as well as casting some original voice actors who delivered fantastic performances and fit the characters far better!

Whatever happens with ‘A Minecraft Movie’, remember to never stop dreaming big, never stop channelling your creativity into whatever your passion is, and never forget the memories, friends, and loved ones you met because of Minecraft. I know I won’t. Stay strong, MC community! Love you all!
