FEED MIND: Taste Music * Hear Meals
is a multi-media question, deep introspection
to answer a Dharma inquiry posed by
great Zen Master Eihei Dōgen in the year 1242 in Japan:
Can a painting of a rice cake satisfy hunger?
Sensho Wagg
This video is a multi-media gallery installation Visitor’s Guide, made for viewing in the gallery of our homes.
For a moment, please picture in your mind that we are entering a gallery space, with the entrance being a room situated just prior to walking through the cubicles of each of 10 photo/music/encouraging words presenting Master Dōgen’s teaching.
After the first slide, while we see on the wall of this room a simple invitation to view the exhibit, (an orientation to Master Dōgen’s teaching and the time and space in which it was offered) we are hearing from overhead, people reading portions of the teacher’s actual fascicle, both in English and the original ancient Japanese.
Please allow entering this at your own core level. It may be helpful to you, in some way, as it was intended…to assist Master Dōgen’s monastics at his monastery to realize themself.
Feedback is welcomed.
