Radiah Shari wakes up as early as 6am, excited to fulfil her responsibility as a voter in the Mahkota by-election.

The 32-year-old housewife said the Mahkota by-election is the third time she has voted in two years after the state election and the 15th General Election in 2022.

This time around, Radiah said she hoped that the winning candidate would help improve the livelihood and well-being of the Orang Asli community in the state constituency.

She was among 64 Orang Asli voters from Kampung Orang Asli Tanah Runtuh who finished voting at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sultan Abdul Jalil at 8.15am.

Meanwhile, Tok Batin Mohd Noorsham Abdullah, 49, said they got ready early before travelling in 10 cars to the polling station.

He said he is grateful that everything went smoothly and he can return home early to work as usual.

SMK Sultan Abdul Jalil is one of the busiest polling stations, involving 4,700 voters across nine polling streams.
