This video shows trains arriving, departing, and passing through Ashiya Station on the JR Kobe Line (Tokaido Main Line) during the weekday evening rush hour (from 4:30pm to 7pm). The video shows the special rapid service, rapid service, and local trains (stopping at every station) that stop at the station, as well as the Super Hakuto and Hamakaze express trains that pass through.

The video shows four trains in total, one Super Hakuto and one Hamakaze heading for Osaka and one for Himeji, as well as the Kusatsu-bound (Special Rapid Service No. 8) and Yasu-bound (Special Rapid Service No. 10) trains that are fitted with the special rapid service's paid seating car "A Seat" heading for Osaka.

The video also shows an eight-car special rapid service departing from Osaka.

The station has two island platforms and four tracks, with platforms 1 and 2 heading for Osaka and platforms 3 and 4 heading for Himeji. Local trains stop at the inner platforms 2 and 3, while special rapid and rapid trains stop at the outer platforms 1 and 4, and limited express trains that pass through run on the outermost passing track, which has no platform.
