Rise of the Guardians, to me, is a near perfect movie...it has everything that you could wish for. Epic heroes, great action, a tear jerking script, a powerful score, great animation and visual design. But there is one element that is lacking....the character arc and development of Pitch Black, the main villain of the film. And for the most part I have been able to look past this...until today. As I have learned that there is so much more to his character than meets the eye.
