To streamline coordination between the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, India has been working towards reorganising its military into integrated theatre commands, much like the US and China have done. Instead of the single-service commands that exist now, the plan is to have integrated theatre commands that will have specialised units from the Army, Navy and Air Force, with commanders drawn from the three services.
