In "Happily drinking poison” director Htun Kyaw investigates the devastation caused by alcohol. Over the last fifteen years the consumption of alcohol in Myanmar has doubled. So have the number of casualties. Especially people who die from cheap alcohol. The government barely checks the quality of the consumers alcohol and does nothing to prevent the serious increase of alcoholics. A documentary about a very dangerous substance and a failing authorities.
