Dawki (Dauki) - a small town of Meghalaya, one north-east Indian state near Bangladesh border. Dawki River is flowing between this small town which is known as Umngot River or Dawki River. Local people called ‘Wah Umngot’. The town is located at the bottom of the Jaintia Hills in West Jaintia. The river is famous for its crystal clear water and beautiful scenic beauty around the river. Bangladeshi hawkers are selling their items like Masala Muri, Bhelpuri and Pickles etc to Indians. Border Security Force watch everything with their strict surveillance as nobody can not cross the borderline.
