Moving a shed with a Kubota bx23s.
This shed needs to move to make room for my new Kubota Garage. It just need some paint, oh and a new floor. This would make a great garden shed.
The walls and roof and the bottom wall plate are in great shape. This is very low budget so I’m using 2 ten-foot pallets and some exterior plywood to tie it all together. The challenge is to place this shed on the new floor.
My first step is to cut out the old floor and cross brace the walls to keep it from collapsing. I lift each corner with the Kubota and add planks under the wall plates, until its high enough to drag it on the new floor. I attach a chain to the far wall, and the BX23 dose the rest. Now I screw the walls to the new floor add a couple of skids under the far end to minimize the damage to the lawn.
The tractor is only able to lift one end a few inches off the ground. Just enough to drag it. but I can’t change direction So each time I need to correct the direction I need to go, I would move the chains and rotate to the new direction and then lift and drag.
Now I set it on the cement blocks and the new garden shed just needs some paint.
To prepare for the new Kubota garage I put down 4 to 6” of crushed stone and level it out.
It finally arrives on the only rainy day all spring. These guys have an amazing trailer that can move in any direction. And my new Kubota garage is complete.
I hope you enjoyed my little BX23 adventure. Subscribe to see more of my videos.
