Tips:
1. DON'T CLUSTER when you're offline! Especially during the enemy elimination challenge of the alliance duel, spread out! If you group you look like an easy target and if you are not online it will be easy plundering for the enemy. Not only will you be attacked this week but they will probably come back next week to hit you again because it's easy farming. Spread Out before you log off!
2. Place a relocation tent in a location that's far enough away from clustered alliance members that it's not worth the travel time to attack you. Preferably a city that is empty or inhabited by a small/dead alliance. This way if the alliance decides to retreat you have a safe place (like when a 40mil CP enemy is farming your alliance).
3. Upgrade your infirmary, the high the level the better the meds you get
4. Upgrade your herb farm, its what your infirmary uses for meds
5. Research technology on soldier defense, moon phase, and healing
6. Remember the triangle effect, you can travel to your alliance's main city even if you have a relocation tent out, use this to your advantage so you can double relocate if necessary (watch the video to understand this).
7. If you're past season 0, upgrade your field infirmary on your blocks for faster treatment speeds.

Update: you can build a Battlefield treatment center by clicking on a block on the map and selecting "tactile facility". This allows you to have a zone around your treatment center that saves troops that would have died and puts them in the infirmary instead. It costs 500 diamonds to construct as of Sept 2022. This may change in the future.
