If you're a musician you should not waste your time or money on any Mac desktop system. The Mac Mini, Studio and Mac Pro systems have all fallen behind and feature one or two generations old processors making the most powerful machines for single core performance the MacBook Pro. Add to that the fact that the MacBook Pro has the benefit of coming with a great display and it's a portable system make the desktop systems completely obsolete for musicians. I'm feeling extra justified in this opinion too because the fall 2024 event came and went and the Mac Studio is still running M2 chips and won't be upgraded until mid 2025 at the earliest. The Mac Pro seems even farther out for an upgrade. Your decision should really just be maxing out as much ram as your budget can afford.
