This beautiful Gaelic air was composed by Dr Norman MacLeod (1783 - 1862), Church of Scotland minister and Gaelic scholar who did so much to preserve Gaelic culture and language. Fiunary is in the Morvern Peninsula on the Sound of Mull in the County of Argyll.
My arrangement of the tune is played on octave mandolin and piano and the photos are all taken on the Holy Loch in Cowal a short walk from my home (also in the County of Argyll).
