It should have been called the K-70F or the K-7ntief (as in thief, stealing your money). Anyway, all kidding aside. This I think is an unfortunate case of desperation, lack of available inhouse resources and lack of will that created this camera. I'm not upset with the person who came up with the idea, I'm upset with the person who signed off on it. Okay, fine... I'm not actually upset. BUT, there's a number of things wrong here.
1) The Tech, it's 2022, not 2012 (the 11 point AF system which dates back at least that far).

2) The Price compared to what a K-70 costs new.
Yes, I know this is a BRAND NEW camera, but the problem is the KF doesn't really distinguish itself from the existing K-70 since they're essentially identical cameras (marginally better rear LCD on the new KF). Same thing happened between the K-30 and K-50. At least with those 2, the bodies were the differentiators.

3) 77 segment metering system (again, dates back to at least 2012). Maybe there's a technical reason they couldn't put in the RGB metering system, who knows. But could they have at least increased the segments?

There are good points as well. The IQ will be fantastic, it's still the ONLY current entry level weather sealed camera for under $1000 US. And of course, all the usual Pentax traits such as the green button, lens compatibility, composition adjustment, ergonomics etc etc.
It retained the hybrid on sensor AF for video and Live View which allows both DC and PLM lenses to do AF.C fulltime in Live View and Movie shooting.

I just feel that in this day and age, with so many other cameras around the same price point as the KF, this will be an extremely hard sell unless it's to an absolute die hard OVF fan just getting started, but then the question remains... Is it worth the money over a brand new K-70 which there's probably plenty.
