Bus Burned to a Crisp on Freeway (HOT RECOVERY). Poor guy, just bought this bus the day before and it's already burned to a crisp. Not sure why exactly it burned, but thankfully there were no injuries! We received this call after the local police vendors turned it down, and rushed out there by sending Alex in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. He was joined by Eddie in our Landoll for the transport.

First step was to park Big Flipper parallel to the bus and set up the rigging for an easy off the side lift. Due to the severity of the fire, Alex decided to use chains instead of straps that can get caught and torn on the jagged pieces. Once everything was rigged, the bus was listed in the air which allowed Eddie to back up right under the bus.

From here, the guys did a quick cleanup to push everything on the side so the sweeper can easily get to it. The rotator portion here was done, while Eddie had to take the bus to a scrap yard where they had a huge forklift to unload it. All in all another quick and easy job complete, keeping CHP and everyone involved happy.
