Treasures, both from the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.
Matthew 13:52 Ampc: He said to them, Therefore every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and [treasure that is] old [the fresh and the familiar].

Apostle Peter documented his final teaching for us in his letters we know as First and Second Peter. In these letters he is remembering the most important and profound experiences that he had while walking with Jesus. Specifically in 2 Peter 1:1-21 he is teaching us about spiritual growth, leading up to his recollection of the time that Jesus led him along with John and James up upon Mt. Hermon, where Jesus was transfigured into His glory, thus firmly grounding in their hearts who He is. Peter then teaches us that we in-fact have something even more trustworthy than that experience - the written Word of God.
