The government of Kenya is now investing heavily in water pans for irrigation targeting to reach at least 125,000 small holder farmers at family level by the year 2022. This according to the cabinet secretary in charge of Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri will put 125,000 acres of land under irrigation besides other dams that target communities. But is this viable?
