Here's how I made my noisy, grinding computer fans quiet. The MSI Aegis R 13th definitely had some fan noise and vibrations right out of the box. A bit shocking, but I was determined to fix it. Since this will be my new DAW, I needed to get the case and fan noise to an absolute minimum. I found some Anti vibration rods from Noctua, and installed them in every case fan.
These silicone mounts are clever. They combine a rubber washer and securing rod in one piece, isolating the fan from the case and minimizing fan vibration noise.
Installation was easy and took less than an hour, overall.
The narration for the video was recorded on my desk, directly above the new, quiet MSI, so the proof is in the pudding!
