The intention is to demonstrate to pilots the phraseology and content of a Practice Pan and Training Fix call, so that pilots may conduct their own calls in a non-emergency situation.

A Practice Pan and Training Fix call provide a pilot with an excellent opportunity to communicate with the D&D Cell when in normal flight conditions and also provides and opportunity for controller training.
