Literature Ireland is delighted to present Blúiríní, a series of videos filmed across Ireland by cinematographer JP Quill featuring some of Ireland’s most exciting writers.

We asked Elaine Feeney, author of Booker-longlisted novel How to Build a Boat (Harvill Secker), to tell us about her book, her current favourite title by another Irish author, and which language she would love to see her book translated into.

Blúiríní (Irish for snippets) offers an insight into the work spaces and home places of each writer. With Blúiríní, Literature Ireland hopes to build an awareness of new voices in Irish literature and to communicate just some of the sense of excitement writers experience at the prospect of their work being read in another language.
