I made this video mainly by listening to the soundtrack "you" from the visual novel, but I also included a few elements that I liked from the vocal version "Dear You" featured in the anime.

Higurashi is an amazing VN, don't get me wrong, but I was just a little disappointed when I started playing the series because I was expecting quite a bit of gore and horror given how gruesome the anime was. Perhaps I would have had a better experience if I played the VN before watching the anime, or maybe I'm just too used to seeing disturbing things in VNs, making Higurashi look tame in comparison.
