We gain an enemy in Mercer but gain unlikely friend in Karliah the banished Guild member. We uncover a journal belonging to the previous slain Thieves Guild leader Gallus. It is unfortunately encoded in Falmer tongue. We head over to Markarth to speak to an expert in everything Falmer. While on the approach we get surrounded by corrupt Markarth Guards! The chickens have come home to roost after uncovering a conspiracy involving a lot of heavy players of the hold in a previous episode.
