20 mph gusts coupled with moderate thermal strength, and the need to stay close to base make for a highly technical flight. This is how I practice thermal flying when alone. I keep the motor on for a "self retrieve" after thermal flying. Pushing into the wind on a strong day is usually a dirt trip, I was successful 50% of these pushes. Come along on a technical explanation of how I fly paramotors on strong midday conditions.
