Bound buttonholes are a great way to add a clean, professional finish to your sewing projects. They are commonly used in coats and jackets, and can also add a nice touch to tailored garments such as the corduroy dress I made a couple of weeks back.

In this step-by-step sewing tutorial, I go through everything you need to know to sew perfect bound buttonholes for your sewing project:

Finding where to place your bound buttonholes
Sewing the bound buttonholes on the right side of the garment
Making buttonholes on the facing of the garment

At the end of the video, I also discuss some modifications in the approach to sewing bound buttonholes to tailor to different sewing projects, fabric, and buttons.
