Replace your heat break! Print high temperature filament by replacing the heat break in your Voxelab Aquila, Aquila X2, Aquila C2, Creality Ender 3, or any printer that has an MK8 hotend! Print ABS, PETG, Nylon, and TPU safely! In this video we replace and test a titanium and bi-metal heat break that will make this possible. Besides the off-gassing, high temperatures can cause premature wear to the PTFE tubing, so this upgrade should prolong PTFE lifespan.

**Addendum:

As mentioned by Jimmy Tjon in the comments always PID tune your machine after any hot end items have been added or replaced. (   • PID Tuning Voxelab Aquila  )

It was brought to my attention from a user on the Ender3 subreddit (www.reddit.com/r/ender3/) that the small portion at the end of the thermistor (the wrapping) is made of PTFE. This is upsetting as we are doing our best to get the PTFE away from the melt zone. This is cause for more investigation, though my first thought would be the ‘screw-in’ style thermistor. Thank you to u/gunfighter01 and u/Arakon for establishing this information. This is what’s so great about the 3D printing community and highlights how we are really never done learning, it’s an ‘all hands on deck’ experience. Thank you for helping to better the community and the channel.

I briefly mention thermal paste/grease in this video, and it can be beneficial to coat the heat break with it prior to installation. None of the heat breaks I purchased came with thermal paste. I am providing this link as a recommendation because I have had great experience with Noctua products but I have not personally used this particular item)
