In the interview with Harald, John Malkovich talks about his appearances at the Ruhrfestspiele in Recklinghausen, where he played Jack Unterweger in the musical theatre adaptation "The Infernal Comedy - Confessions of a Serial Killer" in 2010 and the writer Casanova in the musical theatre project "The Giacomo Variations" in 2011. The two also talk about Malkovich's doctor Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt and his fashion label "Technobohemian".

John Malkovich was born in Franklin County, Illinois in 1953 and is an American actor and film producer. His better-known films include "The Killing Fields" (1984), "A Place in the Heart" (1985), "Of Mice and Men" (1992) and "R.E.D." (2010). From sympathetic villains (Ripley's Game) to failed intellectuals (Heaven over the Desert), but also cynical wretches (The Man in the Iron Mask) and unscrupulous schemers (Dangerous Liaisons) to characters who represent pure evil (Con Air), Malkovich has a broad spectrum of characters which he has already been allowed to embody during his acting career. In the film "Being John Malkovich" he impersonated himself.
