On a par with the United States, Israel holds the crown in this regard, being a nation state that has, for years and years now, been protecting its citizens from missile threats fired by its “friendly neighborhood” Hezbollah and Hamas.
In today’s video, we’ll be telling you about Israel’s latest laser system, Iron Beam, and take a look at the country’s previous achievements.

To begin, it’s worth understanding what exactly a laser weapon is today.
The word laser itself is an acronym for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”, and for many of you it probably reminds you immediately of blasters from Star Wars, firing short green or red energy blasts.
However, actual combat lasers are more like phasers from Star Trek, directed energy weapons that use a continuous laser beam to strike a target.
