Peter Glenn Oakley is an artist and stone carver living and working in Banner Elk, North Carolina. We had the opportunity to visit him in his studio and speak with him about his sculptures, work practices and thoughts on the craft.

Other than his masonry experience, he is self taught. Despite this fact, he has gone on to create stunning and extremely precise works using sometimes unconventional methods of carving.
