If you are having issues with your Keurig not recognizing that the lid is closed or down, this might help you with the solution! There is a micro switch that tells your Keurig that it is open and/or closed. Our Keurig was not recognizing that the lid was closed and so we decided to open it up and take a look, to find that the wire that connected the micro switch to the board was severed. This can happen from repetitive use, dropping the unit (in this instance), or it falling off of the counter. By using a closed end crimp terminal we were able to reconnect the wires and the micro switch was able to function properly once again. If you wire is not severed, but you still are having the same problem, there is a chance that your micro switch is damaged or bad. If you do a quick search you can find them for as little as $5 online. The best of luck and I hope that this helps you with your project!
