俵屋宗達が描いた全長13メートル56センチにおよぶ長い絵巻「鶴下絵和歌巻」（十七世紀）は、ムービングイメージを喚起するユニークな絵である。山村は、この「鶴下絵和歌巻」の構造、俵屋宗達の意図を読み解き、アニメーションとして解釈して実験的な作品に仕上げた。
Spans 13 meters 53 cm long picture scroll painting by Sotatsu Tawaraya, "Tsuru shitae waka kan (Anthology with Cranes)" (17th Century) is a unique painting to evoke the moving image.
Yamamura try to decipher this "Anthology with Cranes" and the intent of Sotatsu Tawaraya, finished in experimental work and interpret it as animation.
