This episode sure was political but I absolutely LOVED getting to see how Canute has been. It really shows the contrast of how season 1 events affected Canute in a different way compared to Thorfinn. I mean granted Canute has a bigger title to hold but still both men owe a level of gratitude to Askeladd's sacrifice.

My first time reaction to a VIKING anime! Vinland Saga has been able to immerse me in its complex world of intense battles and enriching storytelling. Follow me as I continue to see what kind of man Thorfinn will become. Is season 2 the better season? Will Thorfinn find out what Thors meant on what it means to be a “true warrior”?
