Hey everyone! Apologies for being away a little while - I went on holiday (and I have some very cool things to show you in the next few videos!!) Today I just want to show you how I'm converting my Vanda orchid into a vase/jar setup, in order to reduce its maintenance needs to once-weekly watering, and increase humidity around the roots.

This was in part inspired by a Guardian article James Wong who is known as @botanygeek on Instagram :)

I built on the idea to include some LECA (hydroleca clay aggregate balls) in the bottom to reduce the amount of roots sitting in water while trying to keep that humidity up!
