After the start in Brescia, the crews drove through the magnificent landscapes of the hills and vineyards of Franciacorta to Palazzolo sull’Oglio, where Europe’s highest round bell tower stands.

Leaving the province of Brescia behind, it was the city of Bergamo and the Academy of the Guardia di Finanza that welcomed the convoy, which continued on to Novara and Vercelli before reaching the city of Turin, the end of Leg 1.
