Flight is optional. Maintenance is mandatory. A new ruling from the FAA makes it harder, slower, and more expensive to train new Airframe and Powerplant mechanics. With a dwindling number of trained A&Ps the future of aviation will be negatively impacted for all participants...unless the FAA reinterprets this specific rule.
