"Beat It" is a song written and performed by American recording artist Michael Jackson, who was inspired by a visit he made to a daycare center in Trenton, New Jersey, with the original composition retouched by Eddie Van Halen and produced by Quincy Jones (with Jackson's own co-production) for his sixth solo album.


Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' focuses primarily on avoiding violence by deliberately walking away from a fight. It is based on the introspection that is carried out in each individual, mainly in men, when they find themselves in a situation of fight or loss.


The message of this song is quite clear, however it can be interpreted from different perspectives.
