American Cart and Equipment was established in 1997 by Granite Industries. The primary commitment was to provide heavy duty hand trucks and contractor grade equipment. We noticed need in the hand truck market. There have always been hand trucks but there are very few innovative hand trucks that can withstand heavy duty applications. American Cart set out to redefine what a hand truck is and what “standard” duty is. We have developed every cart that comes off our assembly line from the ground up. We use high quality steel, weld each cart by hand and then apply a custom powder coat the carts. This method takes longer than most methods but creates the highest quality cart.
