Recoaro is famous for its mineral waters: the trace mineral Lora is marketed, while the other mineral waters have been used in the Fonti Centrali spa since their discovery in 1689.

The calcareous nature of the local rocks, together with the geographical position (the Vicenza Prealps are the first mountain ranges encountered coming from the sea) which determines a very high rainfall (the highest in the Veneto with over 2000 mm per year on average) determine a great wealth that is mineral water. There are numerous springs and sources throughout the municipal area.

In the area it is possible to practice various types of sports: paragliding at the Campogrosso pass, winter sports (alpine skiing, cross-country skiing) at Recoaro Mille and mountain biking, thanks to the notable network of asphalted and dirt roads, mule tracks and paths that the municipal area offers. It is also possible to practice mountaineering and sport climbing in the Little Dolomites.
