Launch of the radio station 'Capital Brighton' with Capital Breakfast show being the first show to be broadcast.

Recorded at 6am on Monday 3rd Sptember 2018 on 107.2MHz near Brighton.

Capital Brighton is a local radio station station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Capital radio network. It serves the Brighton and Hove area broadcasting on 107.2 FM and across Sussex on DAB.

The relaunched station will carry networked programming from Global's London headquarters. Local shows will continue at breakfast and drivetime on weekdays and on weekend afternoons, alongside local news bulletins.

Brighton has now got Capital on 107.2 FM (formerly Juice 107.2) broadcast from Sussex Heights in Brighton, the DAB station also changed from "Juice" to "Capital Brighton", so now Sussex has 3 capital stations to choose from!

Juice changed to Capital on the 14th of August 2018 and ceased broadcasting. It's sad to see it go after 15 years. www.juicebrighton.com is now redirected to Capital.

I can now pick up Capital FM from London (95.8) and from Brighton (107.2) which gives a better signal. To be honest I'd rather it stayed as Juice, because Capital is already on DAB anyway, they could've added another FM transmitter to the race course where 1 Brighton and Radio Reverb broadcast from instead of using 107.2, there's plenty of other free frequencies.

I may have also added in a few clips from yesterday (2nd Sep) saying "one day to go" . This is my first time hearing a station launch (even though Capital is not a new station) but it doesn't happen very often, especially where I live.
