I found some treasure in the in-laws basement a dead Nintendo Entertainment System from 1985 and a 2007 HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC with a broken screen. So instead of taking them to the junkyard I decided to stuff the HP laptop MB into the NES case to make a retro gaming PC that looks like a NES. I call it the HPNES aka HaPpyNES! This console now has 22 years of advancements from WiFI, DVD drive, dual core CPU and a dedicated GPU giving it over 2000 X more processing power. #retrogaming #gamingpc

Scope of Upgrades:
CPU has gone from a NES's Ricoh 2A03, which is 8-bit and runs at 1.79 MHz To a Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 which is 32_64-bit and runs at 2000MHz X 2 CPU cores
RAM has gone from the NES 2KB to the HP's 2000KB of DDR2 at 800MHz
Graphics processing has gone from the NES PPU Picture Processing Unit running at 5.36MHz with 2KB of RAM to the Nvidia GeForce GS 8400M GPU that runs at 400MHz with 128,000KB of GDDR2 VRAM
Storage has gone from the NES ROM cartridge with a capacity of 24KB to 1000KB to the HP's SATA 140,000,000KB HDD
