Naksha bori(Design bori) is a very popular item across Bengal but prepared only in Midnapur. During winter the people of Midnapur ( West Bengal ) keep themselves busy for preparing traditional food e.g. GOYNA BARI.It’s a very old culture and also praised by Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore .But in modern life now a days this culture is gradually going to an end.
The soaked beuli daal is made into thick paste by grinding with small amount of water. Then it is put in the form of various designs like jewelleries on a flat plate over spread poppy/ sesame seed, be careful it should not be stick to the plate. Then these are dried under the sun at least two days. These are very delicious to eat after frying with refined/mustard oil.
