The Bo people are an extinct tribe from Yunnan and Sichuan provinces of Southwestern China. They became extinct after 1573 when they were massacred by the imperial troops of the Ming Dynasty. Their culture has been the subject of folklore and legend since then, they are best remembered for hanging the coffins of their dead on the sides of the cliffs where they lived. This sparked the legend that this ancient tribe possessed the power of flight.
