It is April 15, 1948, Karpniki. On a cool spring evening, a small village near Jelenia Góra slowly goes to sleep. People who live here right after the war consider this place exceptionally beautiful. Nevertheless, a bit boring, with no prospects. Until 1945 Karpniki was a town visited by a lot of tourists. The brother of the Prussian king, Wilhelm, lives here in a magnificent residence, not far from the villa of Mrs. Aichinger, a wonderful fairy-tale house surrounded by a huge park. You can see the Karkonosze Mountains from here, but very close to the palace, somewhere 200 meters away, there is a small house, which until the end of the war has the address Fischbach, ie Karpniki No. 5. Doctor Deinert, a doctor who decided to stay in Lower Silesia after the war, lives there. As it turns out in a moment, he has an exceptionally lush and mysterious biography. Kurt Deinert is obviously a German who worked in Fiszbach for a long time. He is about 60 years old, divorced twice, his second wife with two children lives in Nysa, while he resides at 5 Fischbach with his assistant nurse Maria Luisa Kitner and the young maid Gertrude. Very often, in this house, he also takes patients for longer, so that they simply recover. Dr. Deinert has secrets. The whole village whispers that he hid valuables in his garden, but also somewhere close to his home, perhaps in the woods.
Not much is happening at Deinert's house. He has just finished seeing patients, has been to a party meeting, Maria Luisa is washing the tools, and Gertrude is preparing dinner. They go to sleep. 4:30 am the next day it is still dark when the villagers are on fire. They think the palace is on fire, but it turns out that a fire broke out in Deinert's house and everyone is running towards his little clinic and apartment. They break the window and try to get inside. They want to put out the fire. On the way, they come across a doctor's body. He's in a pool of blood. In the corridor, it will be given by a person with three buttons in the drawing on tracing paper. His nurse is also in the blood, it is unknown where the maid is. It turns out later that she burned down on her loft bed. Around 9:00 a.m. a police doctor arrives and the photographer takes pictures.

Mlicja does not find any footprints, fingerprints or burglary marks at home. The whole village is in shock. Everyone liked Dr. Deinert very much, but as it will turn out in a moment, he had enemies, and most of all, many people counted on the allegedly hidden treasures.

Until now, no one knows what could have happened. So the militia poses three hypotheses.
The first: Dr. Kurt Deinert collaborated with the local Werwolf; it is known that members of the Werwolf group were caught earlier, but perhaps someone else was left, perhaps this group of Werwolf liquidated the doctor. For what reasons, we do not know.
Second hypothesis: In order to stay in Poland and obtain Polish citizenship, the doctor joined the Polish Workers' Party, so the opponents of this party might have wanted to kill him.
The third hypothesis is the most probable: The doctor told me that he had hidden gold, precious things, and that they were so far away from home that he could reach out and use them at any moment.

The militia also wonders why Deinert actually stayed in Karpniki. Incredible stories come out during the investigation. It turns out that Dr. Deinert is quite a man, let's call it a love affair. Several women begin to admit that they were close to him or that they were his fiancées. This was allegedly stated by Maria Luiza, the murdered nurse. A certain Cecylia also appears, who claims that it was her doctor Deinert who promised marriage and that she will be the heiress of the doctor. By the way, it turns out that Mrs. Salomea lives with her husband in nearby Łomnica. It was to them that Deinert took some of his fortune, including coins, gold, and some jewelry. Salomea has an affair with Deinert and her husband knows it, but her husband also borrows a motor from Deinert and is friends with him. So this Karpnica soap opera, if not for its tragic ending, looks quite complicated, but also a bit spicy.

There is also Mrs. Helena, a nurse from the local health center, who also considers herself the doctor's fiancée. Several women and j One 60-year-old man and several apartments where Deinert fearing deportation after the war, because he also has enemies. He is taking his goods away from the enemies who lie in wait for his house. They are with Salomea, they are with Helena, they are with Cecilia and they are also buried somewhere in the garden, and one of the doctor's hiding places is behind the washbasin.
