But it doesn’t quite work that way. Some hardwoods are softer than some softwoods. Some softwoods are harder than some hardwoods. The difference between hardwoods and softwoods is more about the cellular structure of the wood and the type of trees they come from. It’s not always an indicator of whether wood is hard or soft. I will try to show you the simple way to know if a wood is hardwood or softwood.
