Bronze is an alloy of copper (~90%) and tin (~10%). Back in the Bronze Age, sourcing copper was a major part of the metalworking “industry”. Find the green rocks, crush them to dust, smelt them in a fire, harvest the copper metal…exhausting! Today, I still hunt for copper in “the wild”, and I still have to go through a lot of prep work, but at least there is no more crushing and smelting of rock involved! Just stripping and melting…
