At Penn Engineering's inaugural AI Month, Dean Vijay Kumar delivered a keynote address about the evolution of AI and how it is accelerating breakthroughs in engineering and beyond. This shift to data-driven science and engineering necessitates new programs at Penn such as newly announced degrees including a BSE and MSE in Artificial Intelligence.
Following his address, Susan Davidson, Weiss Professor in Computer and Information Science (CIS) moderated a panel including Zachary Ives, Adani President's Distinguished Professor and Department Chair, CIS; George Pappas, UPS Foundation Professor of Transportation, Electrical and Systems Engineering; and Chris Callison-Burch, Associate Professor, CIS.
