Learn how to replace the track belts on your John Deere 8RT! The process is the same for all 8RT models. In this video, you will learn how to jack up and support the tractor, how to detension and tension the tracks, how to take the tracks on and off, and how to properly align the tracks for maximum tread and belt life.

Learn the tips and tricks! If you own an 8RT, it is important to know how to do this task because you need to either align or rotate your tracks just like you would your vehicle as you start to notice abnormal wear.

A track tractor definitely has more maintenance involved with maintaining track components but their performance in the field is unmatched. More traction, less compaction, greater maneuverability, and better auto steer performance makes them very popular with today's farmers.

This trade in tractor had 24" tracks on narrow track frames and it didn't take long to completely wear out the treads in the middle. Since this is a super clean nice tractor, we are going to upgrade these tracks with 18" Trackman belts from Loc Performance. These belts have fully molded guide lugs and tread bars, 50% more wires per inch over previous designs, consistent rubber thickness, wide center design for better clean out, and come in 16", 18", and 24" sizes. Trackman belts are designed and manufactured in the USA and are now available to buy through your local John Deere dealer!
