I visited Musashi Mitake Shrine, which is located in Ome City, Tokyo.

This shrine is known for its worship of "Oinu-sama = Okuchi no Magami". Another famous shrine that enshrines Okuchi no Magami is Sanmine Shrine in Saitama prefecture.

Oinu-sama is a deity who is enshrined as the Japanese wolf. According to the legend of Musashi Mitake Shrine, Yamato Takeru, who lost his way in the mountains, was guided by a white Japanese wolf and told to protect this land from disaster. The wolf then followed his words and became Okuchi no Magami, remaining on Mt. Mitake.

In recent years, more and more people have been praying for the health of their beloved dogs in the name of Oinu-sama. The shrine also has many spiritual elements, and Okuchi no Magami is considered a strong protector who can purify evil spirits. Each shrine has its own specialties, such as shrines that are strong in love fulfillment or academic achievement. Similarly, there are shrines that are strong in exorcism, and Musashi Mitake Shrine is one of them.

Mt. Mitake itself is no exaggeration to call a power spot. It has been a subject of mountain worship since ancient times and is one of the sacred mountains. The area is filled with negative ions, including waterfalls and rock gardens, making it a super-healing space.
