The first of several episodes travelling around Lake Superior in Canada and the United States of America. We begin our 1,300 mile journey from a historical starting point, Bawating (the St. Mary's rapids), the gathering place, Sault Ste Marie. History slowly morphs to the present day attractions, points of interest and an entertaining sneak preview of a few upcoming episodes.

This travel series is designed to be shared with the Lake Superior Circle Tour Group, and of course anyone interested in visiting or learning about life, travel and fun around the largest freshwater lake by surface in the world.

Lake Superior and the surrounding regions are beautiful beyond words. The Majesty of this Great Lake will awe inspire you at hundreds of locations, angles and views. There is a rich history from the first peoples, to the Voyageurs and through the last century that will capture the imagination of both young and old. Adding to the intrigue are many attractions, fun travel destinations and stops. We visit many small communities sprinkled all around the picturesque shores that invite you to stop in, or stay and to experience the friendly small town life.

Lake Superior has captured my heart and soul and it is with great pleasure that I have this opportunity to share the experience with all of you. COVID-19 has stifled many plans to visit the Big Lake including my own. Perhaps this documentary series will provide some inspiration and hope to travel the Lake Superior Circle Tour as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, it may help plan your trip. Whether you travel the whole 1,300 mile distance on one trip, or return year after year exploring specific points of interest, there is something for everyone.
