According to the Gartner hype cycle: By 2026, 80% of large software engineering organizations will establish platform engineering teams as internal providers of reusable services, components, and tools for application delivery — up from 45% in 2022.

In many organizations, platform teams struggle to keep up with the demands of developers. The proliferation of microservices and the cloud-native landscape has introduced complexities in maintaining consistency, compliance, and automation. Traditional platforms can be rigid and require significant customization to adapt to new development practices and cloud-native architectures.

In our conversation with Daniel, we’ll explore innovative strategies to tackle these challenges using Kratix, an open-source project and framework. Kratix offers a Kubernetes-native, flexible approach that enables platform engineering teams to define workflows and resources, automating cloud infrastructure and services provisioning. This “platform-as-code” model seamlessly scales with organizational demands, making it a powerful solution for modern platform engineering needs. As a CNCF sandbox project, Kratix is backed by an active community of contributors and users. This support ensures that the framework is constantly evolving to meet the needs of platform teams across various industries. In short, by adopting Kratix, platform teams can better serve their developers, accelerate delivery cycles, and achieve a higher level of efficiency and scalability.
